Each month TWU staff will be recognizing an excellent fanfic that has been shared in our FanFiction Forum. We want to acknowledge the contributions of our FanFic authors and thank them for sharing their fanfics. AT TWU, we welcome fanfics about any of Tom's fictional characters from both his TV and movie performances.

This month we are recognizing a well-written, intriguing NC17-rated, completed fanfiction titled: "The Red K Chronicles#2: Crashed", written by the very talented Ruby Red (Lisa). This fanfic is a continuation of what transpires after Clark's time in Metropolis during part one: "The RedK Chronicles". In part one, Kal-E has resurfaced in Metropolis and meets someone named Jewel. According to Lisa's notes, "Crashed" is focused on the events of season six. Jewel is now in Smallville and she sees a different side to Clark. He is happy to see her but events going on in his life intervene, including his struggling acceptance of the Lex/Lana relationship.

The CW has released several episode stills featuring series star Tom Welling as Clark Kent for the upcoming Smallville season premiere titled "Lazarus". These photos feature Clark and Jonathan Kent (John Schneider). It's great to see Clark and Jonathan together again!

THERE is one superpower the actor Tom Welling, who plays a young Clark Kent in “Smallville,” would love to have in real life.

“I wish I could split into two people,” he said on the phone recently, running late after wrapping a scene. “I desperately want to be in two places at once.”

Mr. Welling, 33, was referring to two specific places, both of them in Vancouver, British Columbia: the set of the show he stars on, “Smallville,” now entering its 10th and final season, and the set of “Hellcats,” a new CW drama beginning Sept. 8 on which he is an executive producer.

Our TWU Gallery has had some major updates in the last four months! These updates have included the addition of five new albums. They are: Jerry Weintraub’s Book Signing with 14 images; Hellcats TCA Press Tour with 12 images; 2010 CW Upfronts with 225 images; and 2010 ComicCon San Diego with 107 images. In addition, a new category was added for Tom Welling Productions, with a new sub-category for “Hellcats”.

In addition to these new albums, over 300 episode stills, behind-the-scenes photos, and promotional images from Smallville seasons 1-9 have been added, many of them HQ images. Various magazine scans have also been added, including the ones from the special Comic-Con issue of TV Guide Magazine that features Tom on the cover. Additional photos have been added from past and recent appearances, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Arts event. And, some candid photos have been added, such as Tom’s recent attendance at the L.A. Lakers basketball game.

Our TWU Gallery now contains over 6,000 images and scans of Tom Welling from all of his career roles so far, as well as screencaps from his interviews and various appearances.
